Grief Tending

Grief is not limited to bereavement. It can emerge through relationship endings, identity shifts, illness, unmet longings, ecological loss, transitions into parenthood, changing bodies, lost futures, or the many ways life asks us to let go and become different.

In a culture that often rushes grief or asks us to move past it, grief tending offers a space to slow down and listen to what grief may be asking of us. Rather than something to fix or overcome, grief can be understood as a deeply human response to love, change, and connection.

My approach to grief tending is informed by psychotherapy, somatic practice, ritual, depth psychology, and the work of collective and ecological grief practitioners. Together, we create space for the emotional, embodied, relational, and symbolic dimensions of grief to be witnessed and honoured.

Grief tending may include talking therapy, body awareness, dreamwork, creative reflection, ritual practices, and explorations of meaning and belonging. Sessions are guided by your needs and lived experience, allowing grief to unfold in ways that feel supportive and resourced.

This work may support you to:

  • Process loss, transition, and change

  • Make space for emotions that feel overwhelming or difficult to name

  • Reconnect with meaning, community, and belonging

  • Explore grief held in the body and nervous system

  • Honour experiences that may not always be socially recognised as grief

  • Develop greater capacity to move with change and uncertainty

  • Tend to ecological, collective, ancestral, or identity-based grief

Grief tending is not about closure or “moving on.” It is about creating space for what is true, and allowing grief to become part of a more connected and meaningful relationship with yourself, others, and the world around you.

Sessions are available online and in person.
